The visit question list

# Bring your story. Leave with clear answers.

You do not need to know medical words to ask good questions. A short note about your health and your goals is a useful place to begin.

## Questions for the visit and the plan.

### Write down what the health professional needs to hear.

Bring your health history, medicines and supplements, plus questions about your goal.

Mention pregnancy plans and any procedure or surgery coming up.

The semaglutide label says these health details matter before treatment:

Thyroid cancer in you or your family.

Past problems with the pancreas, a body organ, or with the gallbladder.

Serious stomach problems.

Eye disease linked to diabetes.

Other medicines you take for diabetes.

### Ask why this medicine fits your goal.

Which exact product are we discussing? What makes it fit my health history? What other care could help? What findings would lead you to rule out this prescription?

### Ask what tests would answer.

Do you need tests to decide on my treatment? What would each result change? Can you use recent results? Who orders tests, where do I go, and what will they cost?

The September 26, 2026 record showed no blanket federal requirement for blood tests ahead of prescribing.

Your health history, state rules or the need to assess your health properly may still call for tests.

### Get the follow-up plan into words.

When will we check in again? Who answers medicine questions? Which symptoms need a prompt reply? What happens if I want to stop or if the bill becomes hard to manage?

For people with diabetes, the Wegovy (semaglutide) label calls for checking blood sugar.

It also calls for heart-rate checks, and kidney checks if symptoms could make you lose a lot of fluid.

Source note

The label connects these health questions to the medicine’s cautions. Ask what a test will change before agreeing to pay for it.

## When an answer feels rushed

Ask for the same answer in plain words. Leave a question open until you understand what it means for your care.
